Restless Heart Headlines the 14th Annual Red Poppy Festival
With six number 1 hits on the Billboard country chart and three gold-selling albums, Restless Heart will be the headliners for the 14th annual Red Poppy Festival on the Georgetown Square. Their free 7 p.m. performance at the street dance on Saturday, April 27 is part of their 30 Years and Still Restless tour this year.
Four-time Grammy nominees, Restless Heart’s top singles in the 80s and 90s include “That Rock Won’t Roll,” “I’ll Still Be Loving You,” “Why Does It Have to Be (Wrong or Right),” “Wheels,” “Bluest Eyes in Texas,” “A Tender Lie,” and “Tell Me What You Dream.” The group has placed 25 singles on the country, adult contemporary, and top 40 charts.
Their soaring harmonies and musicianship have earned Restless Heart seven Country Music Association award nominations and four Academy of Country Music award nominations. They were named ACM’s Vocal Group of the Year in 1990.
