City Branding Guideline
The primary reason for developing the new logo and accompanying "Sincerely Yours" tagline was to create an image that represents Georgetown's essential identity in order to create a consistent message for the City's tourism and economic development efforts.
The development of the new brand was the result of a multi-stage process that took over a year. The initiative to create a city-wide brand came from the City's Main Street Advisory Board, whose members secured funding for a new brand from the City Council in 2003.
Below is the Logo Usage Guidelines which were developed in 2003 that represents the City's continued effort to create a consistent, professional image which will be used in all City developed correspondence.
