State Repayment Sought for FM 1460 Widening
A new request for state reimbursement to pay for the cost of widening FM 1460 will be on the city council’s agenda at their regular meeting April 28. Company with Cancer-fighting Agent Joins Life-sciences Center
A firm with promising technology for fighting cancer is joining the Texas Life-sciences Collaboration Center in Georgetown. Molecular Templates, Inc. announced last week that it will become the sixth firm to join the biotech center.

Federal Grant for Southwestern Funds Lab Equipment at Life-Sciences Center
Southwestern University has received a $461,340 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to purchase laboratory equipment for the Texas Life-Sciences Collaboration Center, a nonprofit educational entity that is a partnership of Southwestern, the City of Georgetown, and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.

Grand Opening for New Recreation Center on January 31
Georgetown’s new Recreation Center will be open to the public for its Grand Opening on Saturday, January 31. Ceremonies start at 10 a.m., followed by facility tours and demonstrations. Regular use of the facility begins on Monday, February 2.

Medical Office Center Starts Construction

Citi Data Center Receives Gold LEED Certification
