NE Inner Loop Closure Postponed

Update: The closure of NE Inner Loop Road has been postponed by the contractor due to rains yesterday, which created muddy conditions at the construction site. In addition, the National Weather Service forecast for Georgetown is a 60 percent chance of rain today and a 70 percent chance of rain tonight. The shutdown will be rescheduled for a later date.

Earlier: A short segment of NE Inner Loop Road will be closed north of FM 971 on Saturday. The road closure is for utility work that is part of a larger construction project to add turn lanes at the intersection of NE Inner Loop and FM 971.

NE Inner Loop will be closed just north of FM 971 on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Traffic on NE Inner Loop will be detoured via County Road 152 and County Road 151 during the closure. Businesses on NE Inner Loop between FM 971 and CR 151 will be accessible to local traffic from the north.

FM 971 will remain open on Saturday.

Construction work on the FM 971 and NE Inner Loop intersection improvements started last month. The project is scheduled for completion by September.
