Recreation Center Hosts Immunization Clinic Feb. 12

The Williamson County Health District is hosting a FREE immunization clinic at the Georgetown Recreation Center! On Friday, February 12, come get vaccinated from 10:00 a.m. until  2:00 p.m.
H1N1 is available for ages 6 months and up. TDaP (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) is for ages 19-64 (adults only).

Sip, Savor, Shop for Valentine’s at Swirl on Feb. 12

Smoke Testing of Wastewater Lines Starts in February

City utility crews will be inspecting wastewater lines in some areas of Georgetown in February and March. Wastewater lines will be assessed using small, remotely-operated cameras and non-toxic smoke. The testing is part of a state-mandated examination of wastewater systems operating in the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone to ensure the protection of groundwater sources.

Oak Tree Drive Bridge Open to Traffic

The Oak Tree Drive Bridge in the Berry Creek neighborhood is now open to traffic. However, lane closures may still be needed to allow for final concrete surface finishing, grout work, rail finishing, and markings.
Drivers should exercise caution in the area since it is still a construction zone with workers present.

Filing Period Starts February 8 for May Election

University Avenue Open to Traffic Again

Update, 4:00 p.m. University Avenue has re-opened.

University Avenue in Georgetown is closed due to a natural gas leak caused by a car accident. Traffic is being detoured between Southwestern Boulevard and Hutto Road on the east side of the city. The incident happened at about 12 p.m.

Freeport Exemption Approved By Williamson County
