Art in the Square: Photos
Sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s provided a perfect backdrop for the two-day Art in the Square festival this weekend. Artists from across the country displayed their work in the streets around the Courthouse Square in Georgetown. The event was co-sponsored by the City of Georgetown and the Georgetown Arts & Culture Board.
Paintings in a wide range of styles were featured.
Booths along Main Street:
Art pieces made from metal and wire at Main and Eighth streets.

Dogs and their people strolled at the festival.

Large multi-colored “kinetic sculptures” fashioned from metal and glass had many parts that twirled in the breeze.

Pumpkins made from glass for a seasonal display.

Festival organizers plan to return to Georgetown for Art in the Square next year. For details about Art in the Square, go to www.artinsquare.com.
