cluster-of-tennis-ballsThe Georgetown Tennis Center is pleased to now offer its newest program – Cardio Tennis – at the Georgetown Recreation Center. Come beat the heat and try Cardio Tennis at the Georgetown Recreation Center (gymnasium) on Tuesdays from Noon – 1 p.m. Classes will run from July 7 to August 25 (no class on July 21) with a fee of $10 per class for residents, and $12 per class for nonresidents. Bring your own racquet, or borrow one from us! Registration is limited to the first ten participants.

For those not familiar with Cardio Tennis, it is a tennis workout  – with a twist. Cardio Tennis is a new and fun group activity, featuring drills to give participants of all abilities an ultimate, high energy workout. No tennis experience is necessary! Cardio Tennis combines traditional aspects of the game, such as hitting balls, with rapid-fire drills that elevate the base heart rate and improve overall fitness. The workouts take various forms, but most feature high-intensity exercise followed by periods of rest.

Cardio Tennis is also offered at the Georgetown Tennis Center on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., with a fee of $10 per session for residents or $12 per session for nonresidents.
