City Facility Closings July 3 &4
City of Georgetown offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. This includes the following:
• Animal Shelter, 110 W.L. Walden Drive
• City Hall, 113 E. Eighth Street
• Georgetown Municipal Complex, 300-1 Industrial Avenue
• Library, 402 W. Eighth Street
• Municipal Court, 101 E. Seventh Street
• Parks and Recreation Administration Building, 1101 N. College Street
• Tennis Center, 400 Serenada Drive
• Visitor Information Center, 103 W. Seventh Street
The Airport Terminal at 500 Terminal Drive, the Collection Station at 250 W.L. Walden Drive, and the Recreation Center at 1003 N. Austin Avenue will be open regular hours on Friday, July 3.
The following facilities that are normally open on Saturdays will be closed on Saturday, July 4:
• Airport Terminal, 500 Terminal Drive
• Collection Station, 250 W.L. Walden Drive
• Library, 402 W. Eighth Street
• Recreation Center, 1003 N. Austin Avenue
• Tennis Center, 400 Serenada Drive
• Visitor Information Center, 103 W. Seventh Street
Although the Recreation Center will be closed on July 4, the outdoor splash pool will be open from 10 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Note that the self-service Avgas pumps at the Georgetown Municipal Airport are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Jet fuel is available at Georgetown Jet Center at (512) 869-4532.
Pools schedule for July 3 & 4
The Recreation Center will be open on Friday, July 3 (including the splash pool and the indoor pool). Although the Recreation Center will be closed on Saturday, July 4, the outdoor splash pool will be open from 10 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. The other outdoor swimming pools will open 1 – 7 p.m. on July 3, 4, and 5. Pool hours on other days follow the regular schedule listed on the Aquatics page at parks.georgetown.org.
Regular trash and recycling collection
There will be regular trash and recycling collection for City of Georgetown customers on Friday, July 3.
Please place residential trash carts and recycling bins at the curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. For questions about trash or recycling collection, call Texas Disposal Systems at (512) 930-1715.
