Federal Stimulus May Fund Repaving of University Avenue
University Avenue may be slated for repaving with federal stimulus money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The law was signed by President Obama and went into effect on February 17.

Oak Tree Drive Bridge Construction to Begin

Marley & Me Chosen for Georgetown Reads!
The Georgetown Public Library announces Marley & Me by John Grogan as the selection for the 2009 Georgetown Reads! one-city one-book program. Georgetown Honored as ‘Texas Treasure’ by Texas Historical Commission
Georgetown’s historic preservation efforts were honored by Texas First Lady Anita Perry on the steps of the state Capitol yesterday. Georgetown was one of three inaugural recipients of the First Lady’s Texas Treasures Award by the Texas Historical Commission.
