Labor Day City Facility Closings

City of Georgetown offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, September 1 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. There will be regular recycling and trash pickup on Labor Day, and the San Gabriel Pool will be open. See details below.

Facilities closed on Monday, September 1 for Labor Day include the following:

• Airport Terminal, 500 Terminal Drive*
• Animal Shelter, 110 W.L. Walden Drive
• City Hall, 113 E. Eighth Street
• Georgetown Municipal Complex, 300-1 Industrial Avenue
• Library, 402 W. Eighth Street
• Municipal Court, 101 E. Seventh Street
• Parks and Recreation Administration Building, 1101 N. College Street
• Recreation Center, 1003 N. Austin Avenue
• Tennis Center, 400 Serenada Drive

The Collection Station at 250 W.L. Walden Drive will be open regular hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and the Visitor Information Center at 103 W. Seventh Street will be open regular hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on Monday, September 1.

* Note that the self-service Avgas pumps at the Georgetown Municipal Airport are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Jet fuel is available at Georgetown Jet Center at (512) 869-4532.

San Gabriel Pool Open

San Gabriel swimming pool in San Gabriel Park will be open these hours:

• Saturday, August 30 from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.
• Sunday, August 31 from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.
• Monday, September 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Regular recycling and trash collection

There will be regular recycling and trash collection for City of Georgetown customers on Monday, September 1. Please place residential trash carts and recycling bins at the curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day.
