City Offices Closed July 4, Pools Open

pio1201551283.jpgCity of Georgetown offices will be closed on Friday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. City swimming pools will be open on July 4. There will be regular trash and recycling collection on July 4. Details are below.

City facilities closed on Friday, July 4 include the following:

  • Airport Terminal, 500 Terminal Drive*
  • Animal Shelter, 110 W.L. Walden Drive
  • City Hall, 113 E. Eighth Street
  • Georgetown Municipal Complex, 300-1 Industrial Avenue
  • Library, 402 W. Eighth Street
  • Municipal Court, 101 E. Seventh Street
  • Parks and Recreation Administration Building, 1101 N. College Street
  • Recreation Center, 1003 N. Austin Avenue
  • Tennis Center, 400 Serenada Drive
  • Visitor Information Center, 103 W. Seventh Street

The Collection Station at 250 W.L. Walden Drive will be open regular hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on the Friday, July 4.

* Note that the self-service Avgas pumps at the Georgetown Municipal Airport are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Jet fuel is available at Georgetown Jet Center at (512) 869-4532.

Pools open on July 4

All five City swimming pools will open 1 – 7 p.m. on Friday, July 4. Pool hours on other days follow the regular schedule listed on the Aquatics page at parks.georgetown.org.

Regular trash and recycling collection

There will be regular trash and recycling collection for City of Georgetown customers on Friday, July 4.

Please place residential trash carts and recycling bins at the curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. For questions about trash or recycling collection, call Texas Disposal Systems at (512) 930-1715.
