Children’s author Molly Blaisdell to appear at the Georgetown Public Library
Molly Blaisdell will appear at the library on Thursday, June 26, at 11:00 a.m. She will read from her latest book, Rembrandt and the Boy Who Drew Dogs , which is about the time when Rembrandt, a world-famous artist, was at the peak of his career, and when his young son Titus longed to imitate his father and become a great painter, too. Refreshments will be served afterward, and Ms. Blaisdell will chat informally with children and adults who may have questions about her work.
Ms. Blaisdell is the author of more than two dozen books, published by Barron’s Educational Series. Dozens of her articles have appeared in a variety of children’s publications. She has an insatiable curiosity — a modern day polymath with interests in history, literature, the arts and sciences. Her favorite activities include a day at any museum, a walk on a beach, a great book to read and an excellent conversation. She is a former Regional Advisor of Western Washington chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She is a native Texan, a Texas Aggie, and a Marine mom, and currently lives in the wilds of Woodinville, Washington with her husband, Tim, a software engineer.
