Burn Ban Lifted on March 10
The outdoor burn ban for unincorporated areas in Williamson County has been lifted as of March 10, 2008. Williamson County Judge Dan A. Gattis lifted the burn ban this morning due to recent rains.

State-wide Warrant Round-up Starts Feb. 16
Cities and counties will be conducting a coordinated state-wide Warrant Round-up this year in February. More than 210 law enforcement agencies from across the state will be serving warrants for arrest in the biggest-ever Warrant Round-up effort in Texas, which starts on February 16.

Red Poppy Art Contest Winner
This year’s Red Poppy Art Contest winner is Nancy Brown whose watercolor painting took the top prize. Brown is a full-time painter who lives in Georgetown. She has been painting for more than 30 years and creates works in oil, acrylic, and watercolor.

Election on May 10 for Mayor and Districts 2 & 6
